Superstitions

I used to believe that superstitions did not exist. I thought that they were these made up things to scare people and make them worry as a joke. However, after last friday the 13th I now slightly believe these superstitions. Our 4cast show was based off of them and we did a lot of "bad" things in the open and close. Throughout the show The Flash set collapsed which caused us to laugh. Later in the show the VTR that plays stories then crashed in the middle of a story that was playing. It was a disatrous show that now leads me to believe superstitions may have a slight bit of truth to them.

Prom

This past weekend was Eastview's prom and I had the best time ever. The night started off with the preliminary pictures with my date at my house. She was wearing a pink dress and looked stunning. we took all of our family pictures and pictures with just each other before going to the house where the pictures were located. It took us longer than expected to get there because a tornado warning was issued for the girls house. We eventually took all of the pictures and proceeded to Eastview for grand march.Once that was over we got into our awesome party bus and headed off to International Market Square. For dinner I had a delicious salad and fettuccine alfredo and for dessert I had chocolate covered strawberries. After that we danced all night and had the best time ever.

Weather: Global Climate Change

The severe weather so far this spring has been stronger than usual. Even though April is tornado awareness month it is not meant to be the month with the most tornadoes. In just three days on April 3rd through April 6th there were 1160 wind reports which means there were that many locations that experienced winds of 58 mph or greater. This is an extremely large number4 and one of the largest in history. The reason for this is believed to be because the squall line was more compacted than those in the past and thus the wind was stronger and there were larger gusts. There has also been more reports of tornadoes this year. Many people have misleading information and believe that events such as this are due to "global warming" or as it should be called, global climate change. As this may be the case in some cases, the total change of a climate would take place over a few decades even at the rate things are changing right now. The main reason for this rise in reports over the last decade is due to the fact that more and more people are becoming educated and gaining knowledge about the weather and what to report. The amount of certified spotters has doubled since 1999 and the number of reports will undoubtedly rise because of the positive correlation with the number of spotters. Do expect the intensity of storms to rise over the next few years though.
